Kenang-kenangan buat bonda tercinta,Habibah@Zainon, Ayahanda Mohd Zain dan Mohd Noordin dan semua ahli keluarga Hj.Abdullah Bin Jaafar.

Inilah kediaman ninda kami Hj.Abdullah dan Fatimah di Kampung Pasir, Tampoi, Johor Bahru (Jalan Dato' Mohd Said ) sekitar tahun 1960. Gambar ini diambil bersempena dengan perkahwinan ibu kami.

Disinilah, ninda kami menghabiskan waktu persaraannya sebelum pulang ke Perak pada penghujung tahun 1980an.

RAHMAT HJ.ABDULLAH: DALAM KENANGAN

Kematian ayahnda Rahmat Hj.Abdullah pada tanggal 13Oktober yang lalu masih lagi dalam ingatanku (sehari sebelum aku menyambut ulangtahun kelahiran ku). Beliau menghembuskan nafas terakhir di Semenyih, di kediaman anaknya Mariana aka Nani.

AN EVENING IN BERLIN

JUNE2014-BERLIN


It took about 17 hours flying time from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin via London Heathrow.
Had the first experience of taking A380 (new fleet from Airbus) to London Heathrow.
Followed by A320 of British Airways to Tegel Airport, Berlin.

It was like an unwelcomed trip for me to Germany for the first time when the requested driver from the hotel donot turn up at the airport in the middle of the night on Tue03Jun14. Fortunately, the taxi queueing was very good than my worst imagination. My only concern is the language barrier as i cannot speak German except one word Gesundheit. My taxi driver is a Turkish gentleman who can speak German, Turkish and Arabic.
With only little English words for him to understand , i told him to send me to Hotel Berlin.

Checked in around 12 midnight. The main thing was  to get a good sleep prior to the meeting next day.

BANDAR SRI BEGAWAN - KUCHING FLIGHT

It was our first trip on MASWings flights from Bandar Sri Begawan to Kuching. It was a hot afternoon, walking through the tarmac to catch the small plane, ATR-600.  It took about 2 hours flying and we were served by two lovely stewardess over a lunch time. Each passenger was served a chicken sandwich, fruit juice and an apple. Indeed a healthy lunch. The flight went smoothly for us to catch the next flight from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur.

11Mar1987 We had discussion and rehearsal on Malaysian Nite. The function was organised by Malaysia Students Association of our college. Being the VP of the association, i had a big task to ensure the function goes very well.

Mon16Mar1987 - Our final rehearsal.

Wed18Mar1987 - The night every Malaysian students at my college will remember. Our first cultural night at Barking Precinct. The dinner prepared by one of the Malaysian caterers in London. If i am not mistaken, we appointed Abang Din to prepare the dinner - Malaysian style.

The audience had the chance to witness Boria (from Penang - presentation of a theme story on walks of life followed by the singing together by group of people

PERKAHWINAN MASLINA ISHAK DAN JOHARI

KAMPUNG SINDU.19APR14 - Kami sekeluarga berkesempatan menghadiri majlis perkahwinan sepupu saya (anak ketiga daripada pasangan Ishak bin Musa dan Maznah- lebih dikenali sebagai Pak Cho dan Mak Cho).Ianya diadakan di Kampung Sindu. Kawasan yang harus dilalui jika ingin ke Batu Gajah (dari Gopeng Perak). Tak jauh daripada Taman Herba.

Ibu saudara, Mak, Maksu Nano,saya dan isteri.

Hampir agak lama saya tidak berkesempatan menemui Pak Cho dan keluarganya. agak sedih bila tak dapat berjumpa dengan anak pertamanya Isma. Almaklumlah bila pulang agak jarang dan tiada siapa yang dapat mengenalkan kami kepada seisi keluarga.

Ayah Cho, saya, Mak Cho, Lin (anak kedua pasangan) dan isteri saya.

Yang menarik, saya berkesempatan berjumpa dengan Ayah Cik sekeluarga (Hj.Mohd Yunos B.Musa - adik kepada Ayah Cho) dan sepupu-sepupu saya bersama keluarga mereka -Normah, Norlia, Zainal Abidin, Abdul Aziz dan juga Maksu Nano (yang turut mengundang kami menghadiri majlis perkahwinan anak perempuannya pada Mei nanti).

NIGHT MARKET AT GADONG,BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Night market at Gadong

Just like in Malaysia, Brunei do have night markets. One of the locations located nearby our hotel where we stayed and only 10-15 minutes walking. Rosidah invited us to go around the wet market.

In front of the vegetables stall.

One of the stalls that interest me was the burger stall.

They sold three types of Roti John ie Papa John, Mama John and Baby John.Not to forget the fruit stalls.

Another thing-  Have u heard fruits called Tarap?(see top photo). 
It Looks like the jackfruit or cempedak!! The taste is so sweet.
